We are all guilty of looking at fitness magazines and admiring the models having the perfect body, then we take one look in the mirror and be like “I have to get those ABS”. Don’t go judging me, at least I admitted it.
Anyway, that developed a desire within me to start looking for ways to get my body all fit and healthy. I, therefore, learned a few helpful ways that gave me everything I wanted in time. Good health and physique.
That is basically what working out is all about. When it comes to workouts, everything matters. Things like routine, music, age, muscle group, diet and the likes might sometimes sound like they don’t matter but they are everything to be focused on.
#1. First off, I need you to understand that working out is not just about booking an appointment with personal training software and going to the gym and starting lifting everything in your line of sight, there are techniques that need to be honed. Basically, there are four parts to a workout.
These are rest, nutrition, weight training and cardio. Rest comes as nature dictates. The most obvious type of rest is sleep. We are supposed to get 7-8 hours of good sleep because that’s when our muscles heal and we get maximum recovery.
Rest in-between sets is also important because it builds up momentum for the next set. Not getting enough rest leads to injury especially when overworking a muscle group.
#2. Nutrition goes back to the basics of the types of food we eat and their benefits to our bodies. Working out dictates that you should eat 5 to 6 smaller meals spread out over the day, and always make sure you get good enough quality protein, good fats and good quality carbs in each meal. Your muscles need them for regeneration.
#3. Weight training is the part most people are always excited about but it’s the part most people do everything wrong. Weight training should be at least 3 times in a week with days of rest in between. You can either choose to group different muscle groups for a specific day or do a full body workout involving compound exercises.
Go light, hard then failure to maximize on growth. switch them up every once in a while, in order to confuse the muscles and avoid the plateau.
#4. Another important aspect of working out is the Cardio. This helps a lot especially in burning fat among men so that you can achieve that lean body that you keep looking at in your magazine. Most people wonder how music is related to working out.
Here the thing. It goes hand in hand with cardio in that if you match your exercises with the beat of your music, it will sync with your heartbeat and you’ll work out much better using less oxygen. Try it and see.
Ow, plus the desire to quit will drop drastically. Therefore, the best advice is to pick songs with beats you think you can work with then start with that. The goal is to match the exercises to the beat and then go harder and faster.
#5. Keep in mind that stronger muscles and stronger bones are the main benefits of working out and this is not limited by age. I’ve seen older men and women working out even more than the young.
Note that the body deteriorates with age, therefore, don’t overwork yourself and if you are older, say past 60, I suggest you get clearance from your doctor. Start light then adjust at will. Change it up a bit to confuse your muscles and avoid the plateau. In addition, the strongest sarm supplements for bulking, cutting, muscle growth and weight loss can also help you achieve your physique goals.
I know most old and young avoid leg workouts because of the fact that they are never easy. Legs play a couple of important roles within us. Stability, less knee pain, faster weight loss…I mean I have no idea why people overlook the advantages of leg workouts. You don’t even have to go all hard at the beginning.
Just start right, do a couple of lightweight squats then move on to something more challenging. How do we, therefore, answer the question, “how am I supposed to keep the new and improved me all lean and fit knowing that age is going to catch up to you at some point?”
You don’t really have to keep working out as hard because after creating the body of your dreams, it becomes a blueprint for your physique so anytime you work out, you end up keeping your physique maintained.
Get some weights for working out at home to save yourself the trouble of going to the gym. Do some cardio at least twice every week. Trust me, you’ll be everyone’s example of what a perfect body is.
