MOVIE STORYLINE:
In this Punjabi movie, a young woman experiences tremendous hardship in her paternal home; she is physically abused and made to run around doing all the tasks of the house from morning till evening because apparently men are not burdened with the need to be productive in society. She meets another guy who she marries and lives happily for seven years, during which time she never once resorts to questioning why he has never worked a day in his life even though he is well-educated and capable of finding gainful employment.
